Stags News · Coach George Brittle Awarded Prestigious H.H.Harvey Award!

Coach Brittle receiving conservation award from Berkeley County Soil and Water conservation District.

The Board of Commissioners at Berkeley Soil and Water Conservation District voted that our own Coach George Brittle be awarded the H.H. Harvey Award. This is an award sponsored by Farmers and Merchants Bank, that is given to a recipient voted on by the Berkeley Soil and Water Conservation District annually, to a person or group that exemplifies a high moral contribution to Berkeley County through conservation of natural resources.  This individual or organization must reside in Berkeley County and Berkeley County must be the benefactor of the recognized program.

The Board recognizes and appreciates George Brittle’s work with and through the Berkeley High School Bass Club…incorporating the importance of conservation of our natural resources as he teaches young people about the sport of fishing. The committee also recognized that under Coach Brittle’s leadership, the group adopted two sites for litter pick up. The importance of instilling all of the concepts inherent in that act of service are of the utmost importance.

Congratulations Coach George Brittle on being selected as the recipient of this prestigious award!
