Two Pitchers Team Up As Berkeley Stags Varsity Shuts Out Cane Bay
Berkeley Stags Varsity defeated Cane Bay 13-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Dylan Lambert induced a groundout from Ethan Dodson to finish off the game.
Berkeley Stags Varsity secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the second inning. Berkeley Stags Varsity big bats were led by Mark Russell, Hayden Newbold, Austin Hewette, and Jackson Proctor, all driving in runs in the inning.
A single by Seth Robinson in the fourth inning was a positive for Cane Bay.
Chevy Wrenn led the Berkeley Stags Varsity to victory on the hill. The righty lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out four and walking one. Lambert threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
